The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month. ~ Henry Van Dyke

CLASS NOTICE - April 23

Greetings students.

The end is coming soon and it's time to prepare your final assignments. Please make sure you submit all of your final drafts Tuesday April 28 for grading. Also, make sure you get your assignments on your blogs by next Tuesday and don't forget to blog this week. Have a great weekend and I'll see you Tuesday.

ASSIGNMENT 11 - How to make chicken quesidallas

...............Here's an easy way to make chicken quesidallas. First, prepare 4 chicken breasts, 6 flour tortillas, 1/2 an onion, 1 cup of salsa, and 1/2 pound of shreaded cheddar cheese. Dice the chicken breasts into small cubes and fry it in a pan with a teaspoon of oil until it's golden brown. Then, put one flour tortilla in a frying pan and spread some chicken, diced onions and shreaded cheese over it. Cover it with another flour tortilla and cook on low heat until the cheese has melted. Finally, cut it into triangular shapes and serve it with salsa, sour cream and quacamole. It's a delicious treat that everyone will enjoy.

ASSIGNMENT 10 - My Hometown

.................My hometown, St. Stephen is a small but busy town. The population of St. Stephen is less than 5000 people and it's decling approximately 5% per year. However, it doubles during the summer because of the number of tourists that pass through. St. Stephen shares 2 border crossings with America and they are the busiest border crossings on the east coast. This makes St. Stephen one of the busiest towns on the East coast of Canada. Even though it's a small ghost town in the winter, it's a happening place the rest of the year.

Downtown (there are only two streets and the one you see leads north to larger cities about 150 NE & NW)

The landmass you see beyone the traffic light is USA. It's separated by a river which you could swim across in less than 10 minutes!

You can see the upper part is St. Stephen (CANADA) and the bottom part is Maine (USA). You can see the river isn't wide and the border crossing. There are actually two more border crossing further on down the river.

The dark greek section to the left is USA.

ASSIGNMENT 8 - More About Me

.................... I am very thoughtful person but sometimes very stubborn. Once I have an idea in my head, it's it very difficult for myself and others to change my mind. For example, these days I really want to buy a new car. My husband tells me there's nothing wrong with my car but I still want to buy one. It's been almost 4 months now and I can't stop thinking about it no matter how hard I try. I know myself and this will haunt me until the day I buy it. Another example is work. If I decide to do something both at work and at home, I can't rest until it's done. I often stay up until 3 or 4 am doing things that could wait until the next day. However, no matter how stubborn I may sound, I always put my family and loved ones first.
